SENIOR CITIZENS YOUNG WOMEN'S FELLOWSHIP

1. EDAVAKA MISSION

- Edavaka Mission Annual Convention is planned from Thursday, August 26, 2010 to Sunday, August 29, 2010. A well known Evangelist, a Physician and Cardiologist, Dr. Vino John Daniel will be the main speaker for the Annual Convention. The weekday evening meetings are scheduled to begin at 7:00 pm and the Saturday evening meeting will start at 6:30 pm. We also will have a special session for our youths on Saturday, August 28, 2010 at 9.30 am. Please mark it in your calendars, save the dates and start praying for the blessing of the convention. We have to pray and request our Lord to use the Evangelist for the blessing of our congregation.

- Edavaka Mission plans to use the Annual Convention days to collect our “One Days’ Income” to support the Mission activities of Mar Thoma Church. The collected funds will be utilized for the construction of Worship Places and Mission Homes in new Mission Fields and also for constructing Bible Colleges for training local candidates as Evangelists. It will be a great chance for us to directly be involved in the process of Evangelization, and we need your whole hearted support. The Lord has blessed us abundantly and it is our duty and obligation to take care of the Mission Fields.

- Edavaka Mission is planning to have a “Food Sale” to raise funds for our Mission Fields on Sunday, August 29, 2010, the final day of our Annual Convention. Everybody’s prayerful participation is requested for the success of the “Food Sale”.

Again, please pray for the blessing of our Annual Convention, for Evangelist and also for the success of all our upcoming events.

National Conference

The 11^th National Sevika Sanghom Conference will be hosted by St. Mark's Marthoma Church, Tampa, Florida, from September 30^th through October 3^rd, 2010 at Christian Retreat Center, Bradenton, FL. Those who wish to attend, please register. For details, please contact Sevika Sanghom secretary.

Sevika Sanghom and Edavaka Mission Bible studies:

Region D - Area 9, 12 and part of 8 - 1st week

Region A - Area 1, 2, 3, and area 11 - 2nd week

Region B - Area 4 and 5 - 3rd week

Region C - Area 6, 7, and part of areas 8 and 10

August Bible studies will be announced in the church on Sundays.

3. YOUTH FELLOWSHIP

MFL Tournament

Saturday, August 14^that 9:00a.m.

The Malayalee Football League will be holding a church-on-church flag football tournament on Saturday, August 14th at Harms Woods in Skokie. Please come out to watch and support our young men play in this tournament.

4. YUVAJANA SAKHYAM

"HARVEST FESTIVAL 2010" (HOME FOR HOMELESS Project) will be held at CMTC on August 14, 2010 (Saturday) at 4:30PM. We are welcoming all parishioners to attend this event and also requesting your prayers and support to make this event a successful one.

When: August 14, 2010 (Saturday)

Time: 4:30PM-9:30PM

Events: Ganamela by MATHEW JOHN (Former Heartbeats Singer), Naaden Thattukada, Indian apparel & accessories sales.

-Yuvajana Sakhyam regular meetings will be held every second Sunday after second service. Any changes regarding the meetings will be notified to the YS - members via e-mail/phone call.

5. SUNDAY SCHOOL
- Sunday School Anniversary will be held on August 14th, Saturday at 4PM. More details to follow.....

- Student Dedication will be held on August 15th, Sunday, during the service.

- 2010 Regional Teachers Retreat will be hosted by Chicago Mar Thoma Church on August 21st Saturday at 10AM.

- Teachers Dedication Ceremony will be held on August 22nd Sunday, during the service.

- Sunday School classes will begin on August 22nd Sunday.

6. CHOIR
Malayalam Choir Practices will be held on 2nd & 4th Saturdays every month from 2PM-4:30PM. If there is any changes regarding the practice days & time, e-mail will be send out to all the Malayalam choir members.

7. SENIOR CITIZENS
